  • RAM Energy LLC Announces Results of the Ranger #1H and Cliffhanger #1H Completions

    On 4/7/21 RAM Energy LLC (“RAM”) announced the drilling and completion results for two new wells, the Ranger #1H and the Cliffhanger #1H, each producing from the Austin Chalk formation in the Giddings field located in Fayette County, Texas. Both wells began flowback in January 2021.

    The Ranger #1H was drilled to a total measured depth of 19,700 feet including a 5,645 ft lateral section. RAM applied a 32-stage fracture stimulation utilizing over 15 million pounds sand. Peak rate (IP) was 13,337 Mmcf of natural gas per day and 725 of liquids per day totaling 2,948 BOEpd. The reported Ranger #1H IP currently is the second best in the Giddings Austin Chalk field since 2017.

    The Cliffhanger #1H was drilled to a total measured depth of 19,680 feet including a 5,555 ft lateral section. RAM applied a 30-stage fracture stimulation utilizing 14 million pounds sand. Peak rate (IP) was 10,686 Mmcf of natural gas per day and 729 of liquids per day totaling 2,510 BOEpd. The reported Cliffhanger #1H IP currently is the twelfth best in the Giddings Austin Chalk field since 2017.
